The Old Clinic
Mary and her family bought the Old Clinic back in 1998 and converted the 1930’s building into a live/work space. While the family lives upstairs, the working area occupies most of the ground floor (1500 sq ft approx) and is very light and spacious – the main part of the office used to be a gymnasium.
Being self employed, Mary and Richard, realised that there were loads of similar types running their business’s from their kitchen tables – feeling a little isolated from the work environment but not really wanting to commit to long term office leases. So desk spaces on licence agreements were created.
The Old Clinic is now fully occupied and has attracted an eclectic mix of creative types, including (see next page):
